Charity of the Year 2026 – 2027

At Knightsfield School, we firmly believe in helping our students develop a strong understanding of their local community and the wider world around them. Each year, we are proud to support a charity that reflects our values of kindness, resilience, inclusion and making a positive difference to the lives of others.

I am therefore delighted to announce that Pawsitive Futures UK will be our Charity of the Year.

We are incredibly excited about the opportunity to work alongside such a worthwhile organisation and to support the amazing work they do with dogs and cats requiring care, rehabilitation and ongoing support. Throughout the year, our students and staff will take part in a range of fundraising activities and awareness events, helping to raise both vital funds and understanding of the challenges these wonderful animals face.
The funds we raise will be greatly appreciated and will go directly towards the care, rehabilitation and ongoing support of the dogs and cats  within the charity. Equally important to us is the opportunity to raise awareness of what can be achieved with the right support, understanding and care. The stories of these dogs carry a powerful message of resilience, determination and hope that we know will inspire our young people.

There is a particularly important lesson in seeing that disability, additional needs or deafness do not prevent anyone, or indeed any animal, from leading a happy, fulfilled and successful life. This message aligns beautifully with our school values and is one that I know will resonate strongly with our students, staff and parents.

I know our school community will show the same enthusiasm, generosity and compassion that it always does when supporting important causes. Together, I am confident we can raise valuable funds, increase awareness and make a meaningful contribution to the incredible work of Pawsitive Futures UK.
