Our school is a friendly and dynamic place to work. We have approximately 67 pupils between the ages of 9-18, all of whom have an EHC plan for hearing impairment, and 36 enthusiastic, dedicated staff. We are situated in Welwyn Garden City and have excellent transport links to Central London/major airports and the M25 and A1.

There is a real sense of community within our school. Our pupils are from a rich variety of cultures. They display excellent attitudes to school and have a clear love of learning. Behaviour is outstanding; pupils behave very well, both in lessons and around the school. They show good manners and are polite and welcoming. Parents appreciate our inclusive and welcoming climate and say that our school is ‘like a family’. We have strong links with Monk’s Walk School which gives the opportunity for integration for our pupils.

Our school staff is very supportive. School management is strong and all staff are committed to the same shared ambition to raise standards and improve the life chances of all pupils at our school. The senior management team is highly effective.

Our school offers excellent teaching resources both in and out of the classroom. We regularly invest in up to date technology, including staff laptops and have a state of the art ICT suite. Our grounds include a multi-use games area and dedicated primary playground and outside classroom. We also have a wonderful, well-stocked library that is very popular with pupils.
