Last week, a guest speaker from Generation 2 Generation told Year 9 and 10 History students her mother Eva’s story of surviving the Holocaust. Here are some quotes from students who heard the story:
“It was really interesting and sad”
“It left me shocked how Germany managed to cause a knock on effect of antisemitism”
“It’s important to hear stories like this so it doesn’t happen again and people can learn from the past”
“It was heartfelt. She made many sacrifices for her family and she went through a lot of suffering and trauma”
“At the end I was lost for words”
“I was shocked at how someone’s life can be destroyed”
