Year 9 pupils were privileged to hear our guest speaker Melvyn Leach share a family member’s story of becoming a ‘hidden Jewish child’ at the age of 9 in order to survive The Holocaust.  Some words pupils used to describe what they heard and learnt were ‘terrifying’ ‘interesting’ and ‘unbelievable that it could happen’.
Afterwards some of the pupils spent quiet time in our Forest School area to reflect on what they had heard and write a diary entry.
